Did you know that a single family of moles can occupy up to half an acre of land?

Burrowing activity is at a peak in the spring while the parents find food for the new litter of baby moles. And of course, spring is an important season when it comes to lawn care, so the tell-tale sight of mole hills across your lawn can be the bane of our lives. Now is a good time to consider preventative measures or to take stock of a solution in preparation for an infestation.

A traditional alternative to chemical or toxic solutions is the Scissor Mole Trap. Highly effective, this Mole Trap benefits from features that make it superior to other similar-looking pincer-type devices. The trap is easy to set, with long handles that ensure a safe grip while the loose plate is positioned in the centre of the clasp. After the trap has been set in the mole run, the extra-powerful spring closes the trap on the mole when it dislodges the loose plate. From above ground, the open handles make it obvious that there is a dead mole to be removed.

Or if you prefer a more humane and high-tech solution, there are two Sonic Mole Repellers which drive moles away by emitting low frequency ground vibrations every 15 to 20 seconds, which the animals interpret as signs of an approaching predator. The Solar-Powered Mole Repeller is an advanced product which uses solar energy to power its sonic repeller. Or the Pest Stop Mole Repeller uses the same technology but requires batteries for use.
