Since the smoking ban was introduced on July 1st 2006, patio heater sales have soared to cope with the demand of smokers at bars and restaurants. Now that half the attendance is outside puffing like mad, bar and restaurant owners have to cater for these people during those chilly nights. Patio heaters are the ideal solution; they heat large areas and a fairly cost effective…but beware.

Gas patio heaters are now a no-no when it comes to heating your patio, this is due to the gasses given off. The CO2 omissions given off are, in popular opinion, an excessive amount just for keeping smokers warm.
